Wembley Commercial Centre extends Helistrat contract

Leading environmental consultancy and contract manager, Helistrat, has today announced a one year extension to its contract with Ravensale Ltd to manage the waste and recycling services for its Wembley Commercial Centre.

The 160,000 sq ft Wembley Commercial Centre provides commercial, industrial and office space to over 80 businesses including online retailers, food suppliers the airline industry and retail shops. It also lets self-access storage units under the trading name of Apex Self Access Storage.

Since being appointed in 2015 Helistrat has helped Ravensale and the tenants of the Wembley Commercial Centre to divert 100% of waste from landfill and increase recycling and recovery to 100%.

Commenting on the renewal Terry Shipley, Facilities Manager, said:

“Over the past two years Helistrat has demonstrated its ability to help us control costs and improve our environmental performance. They have provided a highly responsive ad-hoc service for the removal of fly tipping and the compliant management of small volumes of hazardous waste. This has meant we have always been able to keep building in excellent condition for our tenants whilst and averted the potential for any health and safety or hygiene issues.”

In addition to providing dedicated recycling services for wood, plastic, cardboard and mixed recycling for lower volume materials, Helistrat also undertakes a proactive communication and education programme. This provides information for tenants on the services available to them and helps increase recycling whilst reducing contamination.
