Leading environmental consultancy and contract manager, Helistrat, sponsor the ABM UK Junior Engineering Engagement Programme (J.E.E.P)

The J.E.E.P, which will be rolled out following a successful pilot, actively encourages young people to develop their skills and knowledge within the FM sector. J.E.E.P aims to develop new talent and change perceptions, providing the students with the understanding that success exists outside of grades on a piece of paper.

Through 10 immersive modules, including two field trips, the J.E.E.P students learn what a career in facilities management and engineering looks like. At the end of the programme, each student will receive an industry-accredited qualification that will serve as credit to any further qualifications or apprenticeships they decide to pursue down the line.

Commenting on the support, Helistrat’s CEO, Harvey Laud, said:

“Investing in the future workforce and supporting young apprentices plays such a crucial role in safeguarding the long term sustainability of business. We are proud to be supporting an initiative that provides those with what they think is limited choices, the opportunity to succeed and contribute positively in the future.”

Also commenting, ABM UK Business Development Director, Adam Baker, said:

“Through our Junior Engineering Engagement Programme (J.E.E.P) – which aims to attract young talent into the industry – we hope to change people’s perception about the engineering and facilities management industries and give apprenticeships a more unified voice”
