Customer Service Help Desk Advisor – Temp to Perm Position

The Help Desk is the first point of contact for all our customers and you will be dealing with a number of complex queries within the waste industry. The role is for someone who is looking for a new challenge and enjoys dealing with customers and working in a small friendly professional team.

Salary: £20,000 per annum

 Hours: 37.5hrs per week (Shift work)

 Location: 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN

The duties will include:

  • Answer calls from the customers and suppliers
  • Log all queries through an internal software platform
  • Take ownership of requests from customers and suppliers
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Advise customers and contractors on appropriate action
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent action

A full training programme will be provided and we are looking for someone that is able to assess problems quickly, pay good attention to detail and be able to prioritise workloads. If you have experience in customer service or a telephone-based role then this is the job for you. You will also need to be able to demonstrate good Microsoft Office skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate must be willing to work 7.5hr shifts between 7am – 6pm as well as 1 in 6 weekends to cover out of hours calls. We offer a good benefit package with 33 days holiday. Previous call centre/customer service experience is desirable.

Order Release Administrator

Salary Banding: Up to £18,000 per annum
Location: Building 1000, Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN

The duties will include:

  • Importing data, data maintenance and analysis
  • Verification and sign off of invoices
  • Produce reports as required
  • Communicate effectively at all times with key stakeholders and customers (internally and externally)
  • Take ownership of requests from customers and suppliers/contractors
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Support the Order Release Team Leader with any assigned tasks and provide cover for peers within the team as required.

You will need to have a minimum standard of intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (to include features such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables) to apply for this role to be able to interpret and analyse raw data for key information and the ability to produce management reports.

Good planning and organisation skills are a must and you need to be flexible with a good work ethic and be able to prioritise your workload accordingly to meet business needs and contract deadlines. You must be reliable, be able to work under pressure and be able to use your own initiative.

A knowledge of the waste management industry would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
